Rinde is the most recent artist book by Daniel Knorr which contains handmade flexographic prints, drawings, and photography as well as an essay by the artist and an interview with him.

Each book in this series is a unique copy. All flexographic prints have been applied directly to their pages by Daniel Knorr. They are imprints made from the widest range of silicone molds collected by the artist: on the streets of Berlin, in the Garzweiler open mine, at the Feldherrenhalle in Munich, in Hong Kong Disneyland, landscapes of the moon, from the Pont Neuf in Paris to the Bökelberg Stadium, which was demolished in 2006, every print includes an aspect of history. The photographs for each book were printed out by different people on different printers and then both cut into shape and pasted to the appropriate page by the artist’s own hand. All graphic works were drawn by hand specifically for each copy.

Rinde ist das aktuelle Künstlerbuch von Daniel Knorr, das neben hangfertigten Flexodrucken, Zeichnungen und Fotografien auch einen Essay des Künstlers, sowie ein Interview mit ihm enthält.

Jedes Buch dieser Reihe ist ein Unikat. Alle Flexodrucke wurden von Daniel Knorr direkt auf die Seiten aufgetragen. Es sind Abdrücke von den verschiedensten Silikonformen, die der Künstler gesammelt hat: auf den Straßen Berlins, im Tagebau Garzweiler, bei der Feldherrnhalle München, im Disneyland Hongkong, Landschaften des Mondes, vom Pont Neuf in Paris bis hin zum 2006 abgerissenen Bökelbergstadion enthält jeder Abzug ein Stück Geschichte. Die Fotografien für jedes Exemplar wurden von verschiedenen Personen an unterschiedlichen Druckern ausgedruckt und vom Künstler von Hand zugeschnitten und auf die jeweiligen Seiten geklebt. Alle Zeichnungen wurden spezifisch für jedes Exemplar von Hand angefertigt.
